Election Filing Deadline Passes: Glenview Residents Run
Two local residents submitted their intent to run by Monday's deadline, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

GLENVIEW, IL — The primary election in Illinois is just over three months away. The deadline for candidates to file for their intent to run with the Illinois State Board of Elections was Monday. Illinois' primary election is June 28.
Illinois State Senate District 9
Democratic incumbent Laura Fine, of Glenview, is running unopposed in both the primary and general election. She filed her campaign paperwork to the IBOE on March 7. Fine won the four-year seat in 2018.

Illinois House of Representatives District 17
Democratic incumbent Jennifer Gong-Gershowitz, of Glenview, is running unopposed in the primary, but will face a challenger in November's general election. Bradley Martin, of Skokie, will run on the Republican side. Gong-Gershowitz has held the seat since 2018.
