Dr. William Schnell holds a doctorate in Music
from Northwestern University. An award winning conductor, he spent his career directing choirs at Glenbrook South High School. He was the recipient of the
Glenbrook South Parents' Association Distinguished Teacher award in 1988 and also a 1988 All State Conductor for the Illinois Music Educators Association. Dr. Schnell currently accompanying students at Kaneland High School in Elgin and is active with the Elgin Choral Union.
Classical pianist Robert Vanderschaaf of St. Charles, formerly of Chicago, continues an active performing career with his recitals encompassing the solo, chamber, and
two-piano literature. He is an honorary-founding member of the Steinway Society, Chicago, and has received awards for "Distinguished Service in the Arts." He was under professional concert management for many years,
(Suncoast), and performed on three different occasions in Orchestra Hall (Symphony Center, Chicago), as a concerto contest winner.
