Full-Day Kindergarten in District 34?
School board hears options on how to expand program in Glenview.

Glenview School District 34 officials are mulling the possibility of implementing a full-day kindergarten option as early as the 2017-18 school year.
Committee members presented four conceptual options to school board members last week with information on the needed increased space and staffing needed to implement the program district-wide, according to the Glenview Journal.
The cost of the program could be anywhere between $3.3 million and $21 million depending on which option is selected.

Dist. 34 has an existing early intervention full-day kindergarten program for youngsters identified as “at risk” or who have identified disabilities. But that is limited to 50 children at a time.
