Glenbrook HS District 225 Ranked No. 2 District In U.S.: Report
District 225 is one of three Illinois districts to rank in the Top 5, according to Niche's 2024 Best Schools and Districts rankings.

GLENVIEW, IL — Glenbrook High School District 225 is the No. 2 school district in the United States, according to a recent ranking by Niche.
Niche’s 2024 Best Schools and Districts rankings were recently released and District 225 and is one of three Illinois districts to rank in the Top 5. District 225 was among 15 Illinois school districts to rank in the Top 100 in the United States, included in Niche’s ranking of 12,192 school districts nationwide. The list includes 364 newly ranked school districts.
Adlai E. Stevenson High School District, located in Lincolnshire, was ranked No. 1 in the country. Evanston Township High School District No. 202 received a ranking of No. 3 in the U.S.

According to Niche, District 225 has 5,132 students in grades 9 through 12 and a student-teacher ratio of 13 to 1. According to state test scores, 62 percent of students are at least proficient in math and 64 percent in reading.
Niche also ranked District 225 as the best place to teach in Illinois and the district with the best teachers in the state.
