Glenbrook South Athletic Director Recognized by State Organization

Glenbrook South Athletic Director Steve Rockrohr will receive the 2015 State Award of Merit by the Illinois Athletic Directors Association during a state conference for athletic administrators ceremony Saturday, May 2 in Peoria.

Rockrohr, who has been athletic director at GBS for 13 years, has managed the renovation of the school stadium, including installation of a turf field - according to the IHSA. He also managed the construction of a new pool, gymnasium and weight room facility.

The award is given annually by the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association, in recognition of “meritorious dedication to High School and middle school athletics,” according to the Glenview Lantern.
