Splurge on a Tasty Tradition

Now in its eighth year, Holiday Bites, Brews & Shopping will welcome 350 friends and neighbors for a tasteful evening of local bites with flavors of every kind—sweet, succulent, fiery, cheesy, and tangy and new this year a holiday shopping gift shop as well —on December 1 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

On this year’s menu: a rich variety of beers (provided by Joseph Mullarkey Distributors, Stunt Brewery, Hangar Two) heart-warming wines (from Heinen’s and Chicago Wine Consulting), and the best food in the region from several local kitchens, including Johnny’s Kitchen & Tap, Glenview Grind, Forza Meats, The Glen Club and Café Lucci.

The December 1 fest is slated for the grand ballroom in The Glen Club, 2901 W Lake Ave in Glenview. Tickets are $25 for Chamber Members, $35 for non-members and at the door.
As a community event organized by the Chamber, Holiday Bites, Brews & Shopping is supported by sponsors, Wintrust (Glenview and Northview Bank & Trust) and Avidor Glenview, a 55+ Active Adult Lifestyle Community.

The 25th Holiday in the Park & Parade

The Holiday in the Park & Parade will take place on Saturday, November 27 from 4-6pm starting at OLPH Church 1775 Grove Street, continue west down Glenview Road. This bright cheery holiday event culminates in Jackman Park where Santa and his helpers will greet children will a gift. Attendees can enjoy hot cocoa, tasty treats, free kiddie train rides and authentic hayride.

“The big highlight of the parade is the community spirit,” said Meghan Kearney, executive director of the Glenview Chamber of Commerce, which organizes the event each year. “It’s all about the community. This is our way to thank the residents of Glenview for shopping and eating locally all year long.”
