Glenview Cop Fired for Lying Under Oath

Board of Fire and Police Commissioners decision is to terminate Jim Horn.

Glenview Police Officer Jim Horn, who was indicted along with several officers from the Chicago Police Department for perjury in relation to a 2013 drug case involving Glenview resident Joseph Sperling, has been removed from the force.

Horn was officially removed on August 24, nearly 17 months after he was caught lying under oath, according to the Glenview Lantern.

“The decision to terminate Horn’s job was made by the Glenview Board of Fire and Police Commissioners, which oversaw a hearing after charges were filed by Glenview Police Chief William Fitzpatrick.,” according to the Lantern report.
