Glenview Library Board Looks to Fill Vacancy

The Glenview Public Library Board of Trustees is seeking applicants for the board vacancy that will come in May from the retirement of Trustee Mary Crowley Theisen.

Interested candidates should contact the library’s business office in person or by phone at (847) 729-7500 to request an application.

The deadline for submission of completed applications is 5 p.m. on May 20. Applications may be mailed to or dropped off at the Business Office, 1930 Glenview Road, Glenview, Ill. 60025, or sent to Library Director Vickie Novak at vnovak@glenviewpl.org.

Library trustees are responsible for establishing policies that govern library operations and programs, for exercising fiduciary responsibility by securing adequate funding for the operation and maintenance of the library, and for participating in long-range planning to ensure that the Glenview Public Library continues to meet the needs of the community, according to the Glenview Announcements.
