Glenview Noodles & Co. Affected by Credit Card Breach

Payment data could've been compromised for customers who used a credit or debit card at the restaurant between Jan. 31 and June 2.

A data breach at Noodles & Company might have compromised payment information for customers who used debit or credit cards between Jan. 31 and June 2, according to the pasta restaurant chain.

The Noodles & Company's Glenview location, 1851 Tower Dr., was affected by the breach that had hackers possibly obtaining cardholder data, such as name, card number and other information.

“Noodles & Company takes the security of our guests’ information extremely seriously, and we apologize for the inconvenience this incident has caused our guests,” Kevin Reddy, chairman and CEO of Noodles & Company, said in a statement.

The company began investigating unusual activity on its credit card processor May 17 and immediately started working with experts to find out if the system had been compromised.

On June 2, the company said it found "suspicious activity" that indicated a possible breach.

Credit and debit cards used at the affected locations are no longer at risk, but the company asks customers to monitor their credit and debit transactions.
