James Patrick McKenna, age 73 of Glenview. Retired Highly Decorated Chicago Police Officer, Police Officer of the year 1971, Army Veteran, former Grand Knight, Fr. Dussman Council and Usher at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Beloved husband of Sue McKenna nee Otto; loving father of Devin (A.J.) Javidi, Chris McKenna and Michael McKenna; cherished grandfather of Duncan and Blake Javidi and Matthew McKenna; devoted son of the late Edward J. and Mary Carr McKenna; fond brother of Marianne (Gerald) Vilt and Rev. Edward McKenna; brother-in-law of Howard (Mary Kay) Otto, Linda (Bill) Corsini and the late David (Janet) Otto; beloved by many, including many nieces, nephews, the late Karen Struck O’Connor, aunt Dorothy McCaughey & family, and countless friends.

Visitation Tuesday May 26, 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday May 27, 8:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. from Donnellan Family Funeral Home, 10045 Skokie Blvd., at Old Orchard Road, Skokie, IL 60077 to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 1775 Grove Street, Glenview, IL 60025, Mass 10:00 a.m. Interment private.
