Glenview Park District Names New Superintendent of Park and Facilities
The job includes overseeing maintenance, repair/renovation of parks, playgrounds, fields, outdoor courts and district-wide facility needs.

GLENVIEW, IL — The Glenview Park District recently announced a new superintendent of park and facility services has been hired. In this role, Tim Beckmann will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and renovation of all parks, playgrounds, sports fields, outdoor courts and district-wide facility needs.
Beckmann will also be responsible for strengthening and maintaining strong community and intergovernmental relationships and developing strategic planning for land development, usage and acquisition. His term begins May 5, according to the district.
“I am excited to be joining an award-winning operational team that takes pride in its history, culture, safety and innovation to improve overall operations,” Beckmann said.

Beckmann comes to the GPD with 12 years of "unique and specialized experience" in facility management, human resources, project management and risk management, according to the district. Beckmann most recently held the role of Superintendent of Facilities and Planning with the Buffalo Grove Park District. During his time at Buffalo Grove, he focused on building a safe and team-oriented culture for the park and facilities staff.
Beckmann has a Bachelor of Science from Illinois State University in Recreation and Park Administration and a Master of Business Administration from North Park University. Additionally, Beckmann has completed the National Park and Recreation Association’s Park and Recreation Maintenance Management School and its Revenue Development and Management School. He has also been a Certified Park and Recreation Professional since 2014, Certified Playground Inspector, Certified Pool and Spa Operator and PDRMA Safety Coordinator.

“I’m really looking forward to working cross-functionally within the park district to continue to meet ‘Gold Medal’ standards in providing quality recreational programs, facilities and open spaces to the community of Glenview,” Beckmann said.
