Glenview Patch Honors High School Graduates: Class Of 2020

Let's congratulate our Class of 2020 high school graduates in Glenview.

GLENVIEW, IL — Glenview Patch wants to share the achievements of local high school graduates by putting them in the spotlight over the next few weeks. Due to the coronavirus, in-person instruction has canceled the rest of the 2019-2020 school year in Illinois. We know these wonderful seniors are missing out on some of the last moments of the school year.

We hope that this will give the community a way to share their pride in our Class of 2020 high school graduates. You can find the form here if you'd like to add your graduate. Patch will be updating this form until May 31.

Capri was a member of the De La Cru dance team and will be attending Indiana University.

Raelyn Roberson, Glenbrook South High School

Raelyn is the co-president of the Black Student Union, member of the National Honor Society, Captain of GBS Girls Track & field team. Raelyn is a 10x conference champ, 2x sectionals champ, 7x State qualifier, 2x All-State, and earned All-American honors. She is attending Southern Methodist University.

Nicholas has thrived in Special Ed at GBS. He was involved in an inclusive environment where he participated in ping pong, juggling, circle of friends, and Hellenic Club. Nick performed in the Variety show, choir and this year was a recipient of the Titan Spirit award. We are grateful to all of his teachers and IA’s who helped Nick these past 4 years. He he participates in many Special Olympics sports through Glenbrook United and is a 2019 State Soccer Champion. Nicholas will enter the transition program through District 225, where he will concentrate on vocational and life skills.

Elizabeth is a U.S. Presidential Scholars Program Semifinalist and National Merit Scholar. She is a Science Olympiad co-captain, Women in STEM leader, Math Team member, National Spanish Exam gold medalist, Titan Tutoring and Test Prep director, volunteer teacher/coach, and triathlete. Her astrophysics research paper won top state honors. She will attend Yale University to become a future astrophysicist.

Megan played Varsity Badminton at GBS and Volleyball for The Edge Club. She also served as a Key Club Board member for Disability Awareness. Megan is a gifted artist with special talent in painting and photography. She will attend George Mason University.

Reese was involved with Girls Swim, TLC tutor, Peer Group Leader, Secretary of the Glenview Junior Optimist Club, Peer Mentor, and National Honors Society. She will be attending Illinois State University and studying Special Education.

Emma was in AP Art, member of National Art Honor Society and was Co-Captain of the Volleyball team that went on to Sectionals. She will attend University of Minnesota to study interior design.

Paige Casas, Glenbrook South High School

Paige played club volleyball for the past 7 years with 5 at The Edge Volleyball Club. She has volunteered at Step 2 This Dance as the makeup artist creating stage makeup for dance competitions. She also volunteers at dog adoption events over the summer. She will attend DePaul University's School of Business in the fall.

Caitlin Noe, Glenbrook South High School

Caitlin was editor-in-chief of the Etruscan yearbook. She also studied abroad at the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom; participated in the AMP Global Scholars public policy summer program in Washington, D.C.; served as a delegate to the United Nations Youth Assembly; and volunteered with a community center for refugees and abuse victims in Granada, Spain. She was a puppeteer at Glenview Community Church and a youth soccer coach with Illinois Skills School. She will study government and international relations at the College of William & Mary.

Trenton he joined the woodworking club, spikeball, and the coding club. He will be attending Bradley University and plans to study computer science.
