Glenview Reads Together Returns With 'Sandwich' Novel

GLENVIEW, IL — The annual Glenview Reads Together initiative, sponsored by the Glenview Public Library, has returned. This year's selection is "Sandwich," a novel by Catherine Newman.

Next month, on April 9, the community-wide reading program will feature an interview with Newman at the Glenview Park Center. The event, which runs from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., will include questions for the New York Times best-selling author from journalist Heidi Stevens. A book sale and signing, courtesy of The Book Stall, will follow the program.

For two decades, Cape Cod has been Rocky's annual escape. But this year, as her body and life undergo transformation, a series of unexpected events sends her spiraling back in time. Revisiting past summers, both joyful and painful, forces her to confront the complexities of family, love, and the fleeting nature of youth.
