Glenview Reschedules Emergency Siren Test

Don't be alarmed by the sound of sirens Wednesday morning.

GLENVIEW, IL — Village officials have rescheduled a test of Glenview's outdoor emergency alert system. The village was "unable" to complete the test at its regularly scheduled time on the first Tuesday of the month. As a result, the tornado sirens will be activated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday.

Residents should not be alarmed by the sirens' unusual activation time. The village asked residents to inform friends and neighbors about Wednesday's planned test to minimize any undue worry.
