Glenview Residents Could Get Automatic Water Readers
Village to mull $7.3 million contract with Siemens.

New, wireless automatic water readers could soon replace the current ones in Glenview, meaning regular reading would not be needed.
The Journal & Topics reports village trustees discussed a staff recommendation “to award Siemens a $7.3 million performance-based contract to to replace all 16,000 water meters over a period of 14 months with a 20-year meter performance guarantee.”
Siemens is already working with Buffalo Grove and Palatine in what would be a three-municipality joint venture if Glenview trustees approve the recommendation in March.
