The committee’s main mission is to raise funds for Glenview’s annual 4th of July festivities. The committee is appointed and the term of office and responsibilities are determined and approved by the Glenview Park District Board.
The Glenview 4th of July parade and fireworks show draws more than 40,000 people each year. Although extensive personnel, public works and safety support is received from the Glenview Park District and the Village of Glenview, the direct event expenses are approximately $70,000 and are paid entirely with donations made by Glenview residents and businesses.
