Glenview Sets Halloween Trick-Or-Treating Hours
Families can collect candy from 3 to 7 p.m. Oct. 31, rain or shine. The village also offers signs for participating households.
GLENVIEW, IL — Young ghosts, goblins and other costumed candy collectors can make their neighborhood rounds from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, during Glenview's annual trick-or-treating hours.
The village observes those hours every Halloween, rain or shine, and is reminding families to plan ahead for a safe outing.
Parents should accompany children or send an older sibling, map out a route and make sure children know not to enter anyone’s home without permission, according to the village’s Halloween guidance.

The village also offered these reminders:
- Cross streets at corners and look in all directions before stepping into the roadway.
- Use sidewalks. Where sidewalks are unavailable, walk facing traffic so approaching vehicles can be seen.
- Avoid crossing between parked cars, where drivers may not see children.
- Wait to eat treats until an adult has inspected them. Discard anything questionable.
Residents can let families know whether they are welcoming trick-or-treaters by displaying one of the village's printable window signs:
