Glenview Village Manager Will Leave for Texas

GLENVIEW, IL - The only village manager Glenview has had over the last decade will soon depart for a similar position in Texas.

Todd Hileman was awarded a five-year contract to be the City Manager of Denton, Tex. in the northeast part of the state this week, according to a Journal & Topics report. Hileman has been the village manager in Glenview since 2004.

“After having the opportunity to speak with citizens and business owners, city staff, and the city council, I am excited to be a part of your dynamic and growing community,” Hileman wrote in a statement regarding his appointment in Texas. “With its quality of life offerings for my family, two top-notch universities, model school district, vibrant downtown, and dedicated business community, I am honored to be Denton’s next city manager.”

Denton is a short drive north of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. It is a growing city with a population in the area of 130,000 as of the most recent United States Census.

Hileman will begin his new role on Jan. 30, 2017.
