‘A Heart Warrior’s Mission’: Glenview Open Sets $25K Goal for 5th Annual Charity Golf Event

Register Now for the 5th annual Glenview Open on August 22, 2026.

GLENVIEW, Ill. – The most anticipated golf outing on the local calendar is officially locked in. Organizers have announced that the 5th annual Glenview Open will tee off on August 22, 2026, and this year’s event promises to be the liveliest yet.

For the first time, the tournament will be held at the scenic Old Orchard Country Club in Mount Prospect, relocating from its previous home as the event continues to grow. But while the venue is new, the mission remains deeply personal: raising critical funds for The Children’s Heart Foundation.

Over the past four years, $40,000.00 have been raised to fund Congenital Heart Defect research. This year, the goal is to hit $25,000, according to co-founder Alex Przybylo of Glenview.

The tournament was founded by Przybylo and his longtime friend and co-founder, Drew Hauber, also of Glenview. For Hauber, the cause hits especially close to home. Born with a congenital heart defect, he underwent three open-heart surgeries before the age of three.

“Drew is a heart warrior,” Przybylo said. “His story is a big part of why this outing means so much to us and to everyone who participates.”

Congenital heart defects (CHD) are the most common birth defect, affecting one in every 110 babies. Despite its prevalence, research remains significantly underfunded. Since its founding in Illinois in 1996, The Children’s Heart Foundation has contributed nearly $20 million to CHD research and collaborations.

This year’s generous sponsors include The Shack, Ace Hardware, Smoque BBQ, Ballyhoo Hospitality, Macushla Brewing Co., ABT, RJ Liquors, Spiros Deli, and Viccino’s Pizza Company, among many others.
