Inaugural Battle Of The Brews To Benefit Niles Township Students
The Education Foundation, a non-profit based in Skokie, is presenting the event in Glenview.
GLENVIEW, IL — The "best of the best" brewed beers are set to compete for a good cause at the inaugural "Battle of the Brews" in March. The Education Foundation, a non-profit based in Skokie, is presenting the event to benefit students in Niles Township and their families "bridge financial gaps to secure a quality education."
"Battle of the Brews" is planned for 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. March 13, at Social Loft (2011 Tower Road, Glenview).
Niles Township is made up Golf, Lincolnwood, Morton Grove, Niles and Skokie. According to The Education Foundation, housing insecurities, food insecurities and lack of everyday supplies "are plaguing" students in Niles Township and the quest for funds to assist students is a "continuing and daunting endeavor." Nearly 70 percent of the students in one school district within the Township are on the Free and Reduced Lunch program.
