Inaugural 'Holiday Greetings From Glenview Road' Planned For Dec. 2

GLENVIEW, IL — If you're feeling festive, make sure to head to downtown Glenview on Dec. 2. The inaugural Holiday Greetings From Glenview Road is scheduled to run from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The special evening will feature local shopping, holiday decor, live music and refreshments, all within an easy stroll right in the heart of Glenview. The event is being presented by Friends of Downtown Glenview and the Downtown Glenview Merchants.

"We are introducing this event as a way to inspire the community to do their holiday shopping locally, urge them to visit a Downtown Glenview business they may not be familiar with (or some of their regular favorites), and to generally bring more Holiday Spirit to Downtown Glenview," Linda Felter, events committee chairperson for Friends of Downtown Glenview, told Patch.

Live music will be provided by Our Lady of Perpetual Help Carolers, Twelve Tone musicians and more. Lucky attendees can also win valuable gift cards from some of downtown’s finest businesses, according to Felter.

"Attendees can expect a festive, and fun evening full of discounts, games, holiday beverages and treats. The evening will be topped off at Glenview House with live entertainment and a raffle drawing," she said.

Attendees can earn a chance to win by visiting participating businesses and getting a stamp on their Holiday Greetings card. For every purchase made during the event, visitors will receive a bonus entry in the raffle. The evening will be capped off with a live band at Glenview House, where winners will be awarded at 8 p.m.
