Inaugural Winterfest Will Benefit Glenview Park Foundation
The event, scheduled for Jan. 28, will feature hockey games and fun winter activities on and off-ice.

GLENVIEW, IL — Organizers are hoping the upcoming Winterfest will become an annual thing. The inaugural edition is planned for Jan. 28 at the Glenview Community Ice Center, 1851 Landwehr Road.
Admission is $5 at the door. Pre-registration for Winterfest activities is underway and includes the cost of admission.

- 3V3 Hockey Tournament (ages 5-9; 8-11 and 10-13) • Rink B • 3:30-6:15 p.m.
- Ice Bumper Cars • Studio Rink • 4:30-8:50 p.m. (20-minute sessions)
- Dryland Training Room • 5:15-8:15 p.m. (One-hour sessions)
- Learn to Curl • Rink B • 6:20-9:20 p.m. (One-hour classes)
- Shoot the Puck • Studio Rink • 6:40-7:30 p.m.
Glenbrook South Titan Hockey Club vs. Loyola Academy Hockey Club Game Times:
- 5:10 p.m.: Glenbrook South Varsity Black vs. Loyola Maroon
- 6:30 p.m.: Glenbrook South Varsity vs. Loyola Gold
- 8:15 p.m.: Glenbrook South Junior Varsity vs. Loyola Junior Varsity
"The Glenview Park Foundation is thrilled to host this winter-themed event at the Glenview Community Ice Center," said Kevin Christell, president of the Glenview Park Foundation, in a news release. "We were so pleased to be able to fund the Under the Stars sculpture by Elisa Boughner that is such a beautiful and iconic part of the Ice Center. We look forward to supporting future projects that enhance beloved community parks and facilities."
