Investigation Leads to Battery Arrest: Police

BATTERY
David Gago, 37, of the 2500 block of Steven Lane, was arrested and charged with battery after an investigation into a June 7 incident in the 1700 block of Milwaukee Avenue.

He was released on $1,000 bail, and his court date is July 13.
RETAIL THEFT

Jonathon Niewinski, 22, of the 10000 block of Holly Lane, Des Plaines, was arrested and charged with retail theft after an June 3 incident in the 2200 block of Willow Road.
RETAIL THEFT
Leland Chalmers, 74, of the 1700 block of Clendenin Lane, Riverwoods, was arrested and charged with retail theft after a June 4 incident in the 2900 block of Patriot Drive.
Chalmers was released on $1,000 bail, and his court date is July 19.
DUI
Francisco Mejia-Garduno, 31, of the 2100 block of Old Glenview Road, Wilmette, was arrested and charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of a combination of alcohol and drugs, possession of a controlled substance, driving with a suspended license, driving off the road, improper lane use and driving with no taillights after a June 5 traffic stop.
