Listen To Grieving Children
Dr. Clatch writes about the importance of listening to children as they process grief over a loss.

Caregivers helping their child cope with the death of a parent need to listen to the child and explore and gain insight into how the child understands death. Children have different ideas about what death means to them and how they feel about it. This information can help build better rapport for ongoing communication and support with your child about death and loss.
If your child is struggling to understand and cope with a recent loss, Dr. Clatch, Heather, and Jolanta are here to help. Please feel free to call our Glenview-based office at (847) 730-3042 to learn more about our clinical services and to schedule an introductory appointment.
