GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department (unless otherwise noted) and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

  • Kevin M. Flasch, 27, of the 2000 block of E. Chinkapin Oak Drive, Mount Prospect, is accused of driving under the influence, no insurance, illegal transportation of alcohol, and was arrested at 12:49 a.m. March 11, after a check on well-being in the 9800 block of Milwaukee Avenue. He was released on bond.
  • Andrei Lupu, 24, of the 9000 block of Federal Court, Des Plaines, had a warrant for failure to appear on a driving under the influence incident, and was arrested at 9:30 a.m. March 12, at the Glenview Police Department. He was held for a bond hearing on a separate, active driving while license suspended warrant from the Cook County Sheriff.
  • Hyo Jeon, 43, of Charlottesville, Virginia, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, disobeying a traffic control device, and was arrested at 10 p.m. March 12, following a traffic stop at Milwaukee Avenue and Glenview Road. He was released on bond.

STOLEN VEHICLE

A resident in the 2500 block of Osage Drive reported their vehicle, with the keys inside it, was stolen from their driveway during the overnight hours of March 7.

RETAIL THEFT

  • An employee of a business in the 2800 block of Pfingsten Road called police at 9:08 a.m. March 8, to report a man left the store with several items without paying for them. He left the area in a dark color vehicle.
  • An employee of a business in the 1900 block of Tower Drive reported at 5:14 p.m. March 8, a woman left the store with an item for sale without paying for it. She left the area in a newer model four-door sedan.
  • An employee of a business in the 3300 block of Glenview Road called police at 8:41 p.m. March 8, to report a man left the store with a bag full of merchandise without paying for it. He left the area in a black SUV-style vehicle.
  • An employee of a business in the 1900 block of Tower Drive reported at 11:14 a.m. March 9, a woman left the store with items for sale without paying for them. The female dropped the items near the exit door, outside the store, when confronted by security. She left the area in a gray vehicle.
  • An employee of a business in the 2900 block of Patriot Boulevard called police to report that between 11 a.m. and 11:05 a.m. March 9, a man stole two bottles of liquor from the store.

BURGLARY TO VEHICLE

A resident in the 2900 block of Virginia Lane called police to report that between March 9 and March 10, someone entered their unlocked vehicle, parked in the driveway, and rummaged through the belongings inside the vehicle.

IDENTITY THEFT

A Hawthorne Lane resident reported at 10:21 a.m. March 10, someone used their personal identifiers to change the settings on a retirement account and transfer funds.

BURGLARY

  • A Highland Park resident reported that between March 11 and March 13, someone cut locks from a business in the 3000 block of North Lake Terrace.
  • A citizen reported that between March 12 and March 13, someone cut locks from a business in the 1900 block of Pickwick Avenue and stole landscaping equipment.

NO DRIVER'S LICENSE

A Northfield resident was cited at 10:41 p.m. March 13, for no valid driver's license, following a traffic stop in the 2000 block of Waukegan Road.
