Mail Stolen Outside Glenview Post Office: Police
Someone pried open the outdoor mail receptacle at some time last weekend. The amount of mail stolen is unknown.

GLENVIEW, IL — If you recently dropped off mail at the Glenview Post Office at 1400 Patriot Blvd., it may be missing. Between 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, and 5 p.m. Monday, Jan 17, someone pried open the outdoor mail receptacle and stole an unknown amount of mail, according to police.
Anyone who dropped off mail that contained financial payments and/or personal information during this time frame is asked to take necessary steps to stop fraud. These steps include immediate notification to banks and credit card companies, and cancellation of checks.
Residents who believe their mail was stolen should file a report with the Glenview Police Department, who will then forward the report to the U.S. Postal Inspectors Office. Mail theft is a federal crime that is investigated by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.
