Man Strikes Person In Head With Gun At Motel 6: Glenview PD
The Arlington Heights resident was charged with seven felonies, including possession of body armor and cocaine, according to police.

GLENVIEW, IL — After striking a person in the head with a gun at Motel 6 during an April incident, an Arlington Heights man is facing seven felony charges. Dirk Hugo, 47, of the 200 block of Arlington Heights Road, was arrested Wednesday outside his home and charged with the following felonies:
- felony armed habitual criminal
- armed violence
- aggravated unlawful use of a weapon (body armor)
- aggravated unlawful use of a weapon by a convicted felon
- aggravated unlawful restraint
- aggravated battery (victim over 60 years of age)
- manufacturing/delivery of cocaine (over 15 grams)
Hugo remains in the Cook County Jail and is due back in court on May 23.
Police responded at 9:51 p.m. April 14, to Motel 6, 1535 Milwaukee Ave., for a report of an aggravated battery. The victim, who had been struck in the head with a firearm, had been taken to a hospital for medical treatment and released.
