Man Who Admits to Exchanging Sex for Money Claims Intimidation

Man says two women threatened to smear his name online if he didn't give them more money.

A Glenview man admitted to police on Friday he had used the Backpage website to exchange sex for money with two women in order to file an intimidation complaint.

The man said the encounter happened a month ago, but then on March 17 he answered an ad on Craigslist to meet with two women in Evanston that turned out to be the same ones from a month prior.

After declining their offer and going home, he says the women contacted him and demanded $800 or they would smear his name on social media. He gave them the requested money, but they demanded more - which he refused to give.
