UPDATE: All Lanes Clear on the Edens Near Lake Avenue

UPDATE 5:15 p.m. - All lanes have been cleared on the Edens.

Massive delays have begun on the Edens Expressway in both directions as crews are inspecting the Lake Avenue bridge in Wilmette after concrete fell on the roadway below.

WGN Skycam provided video of the delays, which appear to affect northbound commuters mostly. Traffic is down to one lane in both directions.

A truck with an over-size load on Lake Ave. hit the bridge, damaging it and causing the concrete to fall on the Interstate, according to an ABC-7-Chicago report. The bridge had not been closed.
