Microbrewery Proposed for Waukegan Road
Owner of Zion-based Ten-Ninety Beer Company wants to move headquarters to Glenview.

A Glenview resident has plans to bring his craft brewery to a location at 1015 Waukegan Rd. in Glenview.
Brian Schafer, principal owner of The Ten-Ninety Beer Company, wants to open the three-year-old microbrewery and taproom now based in Zion at the former Card & Party Giant space by late fall, according to the Journal & Topics.
“Glenview desperately needs one (a microbrewery),” Schafer said.

If approved by the plan commission, the brewery would operate Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the taproom Wednesday through Sunday.
Weekday hours would run 4 to 10 p.m. with Saturday and Sunday hours 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The company would employ about seven people in the new location.

Ten-Ninety Beer is sold at Heinen’s, Trader Joe’s and Mariano’s Fresh Market in Glenview and can also be found at the Glenview House.
