Update: Missing Glenview Teen Found Safe

Monica Elias, 16, of unincorporated Glenview, had not been seen since Saturday, according to the Cook County Sheriff's Office.

UPDATE: The missing teenager has been found safe, according the Cook County Sheriff's Office.


GLENVIEW, IL — The Cook County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in finding a 16-year-old girl from unincorporated Glenview. Monica Elias, also known as Monica Giron, was last seen around 1 p.m. Saturday getting into a car driven by an unknown male in the 10300 block of Michael Todd Terrace. Police believe the teenager may be in danger.

Elias is described as 5-foot-2, 140 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a gray t-shirt, blue jeans with torn knees and black and white shoes, according to police.

Investigators believe Elias may be near the Chicago lakefront and in danger. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the Cook County sheriff’s office at (847)-635-1188.
