New Superintendent Outlines Goals In Glenview District 34

Dane Delli discussed his transition plan at Monday's D-34 Board of Education meeting.

From Glenview District 34: During Monday’s Board of Education meeting, Superintendent Dr. Dane Delli discussed his official Transition Plan, which outlines his goals and objectives now that he has assumed the role in Glenview District 34. The transition plan includes three phases that span over a year, during which Delli seeks to achieve four main goals:

1. To focus organizational efforts and align resources, financial and human, to ensure all students are provided a world-class education that will prepare them to be high school, college, and global workforce ready.

2. To learn and recognize the school district and individual school building cultures.

3. To assess the state of the school district, including core approaches to teaching and learning, operations, business systems, finances and budgeting, reviewing internal and external audits, evaluations, and reviews in order to take timely action for improvement.

4. To review strategic planning, with an eye toward a continued focus on best practice strategies in teaching and learning and supporting best practice operational strategies.

“Developing a deep understanding of the state of the district as well as individual schools is a critical component to being a successful superintendent. Through listening, learning, and building critical relationships, I will have the necessary foundational knowledge about the strengths, challenges and opportunities in Glenview District 34,” Delli said. “This transition plan clearly outlines how this is going to occur over the next several months.”

A copy of the plan can be found on the district website by visiting www.glenview34.org. Following its conclusion, Delli will provide a report to the Board of Education that contains qualitative, anecdotal and quantitative data. A summary of this report will be made available to the public.
