Non-Verbal Man Missing Since Monday Near Maine Township: Police

Najee Stansberry, 23, was discharged at around 11:30 a.m. May 2, from Lutheran General Hospital.

UNINCORPORATED MAINE TOWNSHIP, IL — A resident has not been seen since Monday, when he was discharged from Lutheran General Hospital. Najee Stansberry, 23, left the hospital at around 11:30 a.m. and his family does not know his whereabouts, according to the Cook County Sheriff's Office. Police described Stansberry as "endangered."

Stansberry is described by family members as non-verbal, 5-foot-9, approximately 175 pounds, with short, black hair, partially balding, brown eyes, and medium to dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt and black sweatpants.

Anyone with information about Stansberry’s whereabouts is asked to call 911, the Cook County Sheriff’s Police at 708-865-4896, or the Cook County Sheriff’s Office non-emergency number at 847-635-1188.
