Northbrook, Glenview Have Lowest Unemployment Rates in State

The jobless rate in Evanston fell to 4.7 percent last month, based on numbers the Illinois Department of Employment Security reported on Tuesday. The rate dropped from 5 percent in October, Evanston Now reported.

A pair of other North Shore communities - Glenview and Northbrook - came in a three-way tie with Elmhurst for the lowest jobless rate in the state in November at 3.9 percent. Wilmette was one of three to have a rate of 4 percent.
