Northfield Township Road District Announces Special Recycling Events for 2015
The Northfield Township Road District offers free recycling for residents of Northfield, Northbrook, and Glenview.

The Northfield Township Road District has published its schedule for public recycling special events, including paper shredding and off-site collections. These special events supplement the Township’s open recycling program, which accepts recyclables at the Road District’s Glenview facility during designated office hours. All recycling events are open to residents of Northfield Township, which includes Northfield, Northbrook, and Glenview.
The Northfield Township Road District’s garage, located at 1928 Lehigh Road in Glenview, will open its doors for recycling beginning Monday, March 23. Recyclables are accepted Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:00pm until the season closes on Friday, November 6. Residents are asked to drive their vehicles to the front of the garage building and ring the bell for assistance unloading their cars.
Due to new changes in government regulations, the Road District can no longer accept televisions or computer monitors for recycling. The Road District accepts a wide variety of items for charitable re-use or responsible recycling, including:
