NSYMCA Campers Help Strengthen the Community with Colorful Fundraiser
North Suburban YMCA campers and counselors will participate in a "Color Run" race on July 29.

Campers from the North Suburban YMCA's summer day camp plan to get into some colorful fundraising by participating in the Y's "Color Run" race. The event, scheduled for July 29 from 10 am to 12 pm, will help provide community programs and scholarships to families in need, and ensure that the Y remains strong for the future.
Participants will donate $25 to wear an official white "Color Run" t-shirt to run through an obstacle course while counselors douse them in multi-colored paint powders . This community event is sponsored by Allstate and staff, and State Representative Jonathan Carroll's office will be there to volunteer.
Each $25 donation contributes to more than $500,000 in financial aid per year and ensures that more than 239 children learn to swim, 250 seniors have the opportunity to stay active and have a place to belong, 150 children receive financial aid for childcare programs and camp, and programs like the YMCA Education Series (Y.E.S.) are available for the community.
