Pedal Power Charity Collects Bikes for CPS Honor Roll Students
This year's bike drive - a creation of a New Trier sophomore when she was a third grader - is on November 14.

Nicole Basil, a sophomore at New Trier High School, started Pedal Power, a charity that donates bicycles to Chicago Public Schools students who make the honor roll, when she was in third grade.
Ever since, a “power bike drive” has increased in popularity, with a new goal being set for this year’s event scheduled for November 14.
“We are hoping to pass the 2,000 bikes donated mark this year,” said Basil, who added the donations are all tax deductible and go toward a good cause.
