Pedestrian Struck In Roadway In Glenview

The Glenview Police Department is seeking the public's help regarding Wednesday's accident on Milwaukee Avenue.

UPDATE (9 a.m. Dec. 3): The struck pedestrian has been identified, according to the Glenview Police Department.

GLENVIEW, IL — A pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a car in the roadway Wednesday in the 3500 block of Milwaukee Avenue. The accident happened at around 5 p.m. and closed traffic between West Lake Avenue and Sanders Road while it was being investigated by the Glenview Police Department. It was cleared and reopened to traffic at 9:35 p.m. as the investigation continues, according to police.

Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the pedestrian. He is described as an Asian male, between 50-60 years of age, between 5 feet, 4 inches and 5 feet, 6 inches, 160 pounds, with salt and pepper hair. He was transported to Lutheran General Hospital.

The driver of the vehicle involved was not injured and is cooperating fully with the investigation, according to police. Charges, if any, will be determined at the conclusion of the investigation.

The North Regional Major Crimes Task Force’s Major Case Assistance Team assisted in the investigation.
