It’s becoming a semi-annual tradition for the Chicago Blackhawks to gather some 2 million fans together in downtown Chicago to celebrate a Stanley Cup championship in June.

The details have changed ever year. In 2010, the flock of fans followed the parade down Michigan Avenue for what then seemed to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience as the players and coaches addressed the crowd from Wacker Drive. Three years later, the Hawks took a page out of the 1990s Chicago Bulls celebration playbook with a rally in Grant Park. This year, an extended parade concluded at Soldier Field.
