Plaza del Prado Sold to Private-Equity Giant
The Glenview shopping center will now be in the hands of the Blackstone Group, the world's largest private-equity real estate company.

GLENVIEW, IL - One of Glenview’s most popular shopping centers will soon be in the hands of the world’s largest private-equity real estate owner.
The Plaza del Prado shopping center at Pfingsten and Willow roads was recently sold by the Alecta Real Estate group to Blackstone Group, the world’s largest of its kind, Crain’s reports. Details of the deal have not been disclosed.
Plaza del Prado is anchored by a Jewel-Osco store and includes several other businesses including a Great Clips, Starbucks, Chase Bank and Einstein Bros. Bagels.
