Pleasant Ridge Principal Frank Rottman to Resign
Mid-year resignation is due to health issues, letter from District 34 states.

GLENVIEW, IL - The resignation of Pleasant Ridge Elementary School Principal Frank Rottman is expected to be approved by the Glenview School District 34 board of education on Monday.
Rottman cited health issues as the reason for the resignation, according to a letter posted on the District 34 website. He will likely serve the district in a different capacity that will “continue to utilize his strengths but in better balance with his personal needs,” according to the letter.
“It is undeniable the impact Frank has had on our students and teachers during his tenure in our district, and we are saddened to lose him in this leadership role. Frank has made many positive contributions to both his building and our district as a whole. His genuine passion for teaching and learning is clearly apparent, and we truly admire his unrelenting positivity and dedication.”
The district is expected to approve the hiring of retired Hoffman Elementary School Principal Mark Walther as Rottman’s interim replacement and Pleasant Ridge teacher Patrick Hoeft as a full-time administrator support to the building. Hoeft served as interim assistant principal at Springman Elementary School last year.
