Provide Structure for ADHD
Dr. Clatch writes about how parents can help curb their ADHD child's impulsivity by maintaining a structured schedule.

Arguably, it is not possible to structure every minute of your child’s day. However, when your child is home, try to establish a schedule to help your child make the best of his or her time. Structure is important for every child, but for children with ADHD structure can take the guess work out of what is expected. When children with ADHD have some type of structure in their routine, they know what to expect and they are often able to perform well. Structure reduces the opportunity for impulsivity and can be essential for promoting the positive reinforcement that should accompany good behavior and effective behavior control.
