Rayna Trayanova of Glenview Honored at Turning Point Benefit

Approximately 200 guests gathered at the Evanston Golf Club, 4401 Dempster St. in Skokie, on June 20 for Turning Point Behavioral Health Care Center’s annual benefit, raising more than $96,000 for the non-profit organization.

This year’s benefit, entitled Cultivating Creativity and Innovation, honored Cook County Commissioner Larry Suffredin (Evanston); architect Joseph J. Behles, principal of Behles+Behles (Evanston), Turning Point Office and Facilities Manager Rayna Trayanova (Glenview) and Yaniv, Harell and Giora Dolgin, owners of Dolgin Construction (Wilmette) for their commitment to and support of comprehensive, high quality mental health care for everyone.

“All of the people we honored this year have been instrumental in Turning Point’s continued growth,” said Turning Point CEO Ann Fisher Raney. “We are thankful for the leadership and creativity that Joe displayed as he led us through the design of our newly refurbished space; for the extraordinary skill, above and beyond effort and consideration that the Dolgins have brought to their work on our renovations; for Rayna’s intelligence, energy and optimism as she helps keep our offices running smoothly; and for Larry’s long-term support, counsel, and strong network of relationships, which has helped us find needed funding sources.”

Guests enjoyed a lively musical performance by the Julian Chin Trio, a silent auction that featured many exciting prizes, including a week-long stay in Switzerland, Chicago sports tickets, private meals with U.S. Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky, State Rep. Robyn Gabel, and State Sen. Daniel Biss, and much more, and a unique “Wellness Tips” video booth, where attendees offered their personal ideas about how to stay happy, healthy and resilient.

Evanston resident Jay Lytle, former mayor of Evanston and one of the co-founders of First Bank & Trust, and Yaniv Dolgin served as live appeal emcees throughout the evening, encouraging attendees to donate to the cause.

Attendees also purchased tickets for two exciting raffle prizes. First prize was a seven-night all-inclusive stay for two at the Moon Palace Resort in Cancun, Mexico, and second prize was an Apple Smart Watch.

Rayna Trayanova, of Glenview, is the Office and Facilities Manager at Turning Point Behavioral Health Care in Skokie. Trayanova manages the support staff and works with all clinical staff. She also manages facilities needs and has been the primary contact for multiple large-scale construction projects on-site. She is fluent in Bulgarian and has some knowledge of Russian and Serbian.
