“The alleged misconduct by Speaker Madigan outlined in a recent report by the US Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois, if true, constitutes an egregious violation of public trust—and possible criminal activity.
These allegations are deeply troubling and undermine the integrity that holding public office demands. This behavior is simply unacceptable for any elected official and the people of Illinois deserve better.

Any and all elected officials involved in this scheme (or any other illicit activity) must resign
immediately. I stand with the Governor and my colleagues who have called for the immediate resignation of anyone proven to be involved, including Speaker Madigan.”
