GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department (unless otherwise noted) and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

  • Tracey Crowley, 34, of the 6200 block of Montrose Avenue, Chicago, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, following too closely, and was arrested at 4:49 p.m. April 22, following a traffic crash in the 1700 block of Milwaukee Avenue. She was released on a $3,000 bond and was assigned a court date of May 10.
  • Steven Jesser, 74, of the 1900 block of Shermer Road, Glenview, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and was arrested at 6:12 p.m. April 22, following a traffic crash in the 1400 block of Willow Road. He was released after posting a $1,000 bond and was assigned a court date of June 8.
  • Carlos Barrera, 35, of the 1900 block of W. 21st Street, Chicago, is accused of driving under the influence of drugs, unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver, texting while driving, improper lane usage, and was arrested at 9:59 a.m. April 20, following a traffic stop in the 9200 block of Waukegan Road. He was released on a $1,000 bond and was assigned a court date.

THEFT OF LABOR OR SERVICES

Miguel Espino, 24, of the 800 block of E. Ironwood Drive, Mount Prospect, is accused of theft of labor or services, criminal damage to property, criminal trespass to a motor vehicle, criminal trespass to real property, leaving the scene of an accident, driving while license suspended, and was arrested at noon April 20, at Cook County Jail. The arrest came following an investigation into an incident April 4 in the 2000 block of Johns Drive. He remained in custody of the Cook County Sheriff's Department at the time of the report.

WARRANT

Dandre Spann, 44, of the 1600 block of N. Melvina Street, Chicago, is accused of driving on a suspended driver's license, illegal window tint, and was arrested at 9:46 a.m. April 19, following a traffic stop in the 800 block of N. River Road, Mount Prospect. Officers found a valid original arrest warrant for Spann from the Will County Sheriff’s Department for continuing a financial criminal enterprise, burglary and retail theft. Spann was released on the traffic charges on an I-bond, with a court date set May 10. He was then turned over to the custody of the Will County Sheriff’s Department at the Will County Adult Detention Center.

DOMESTIC BATTERY

Samuel Bova, 36, of Glenview, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested at 2:03 a.m. April 20, following an investigation in Glenview. He was held for a bond hearing at the Skokie Courthouse.

INCIDENTS

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS

A Glenview resident reported that during the overnight hours of April 17, someone stole the catalytic converter from underneath their vehicle while it was parked in the 4100 block of Cove Lane.

NO VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE

A Chicago resident was cited at 9:53 p.m. April 19, no valid driver's license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, no rear registration plate light, following a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Milwaukee Avenue. They were released on an I-bond with a court date set for May 24.

FORGERY

A Glenview resident reported they sent a check on March 19 for $98. On April 19, they learned someone washed the check and cashed it for $2,100 at an unknown location.

THEFT

  • An employee of a business in the 4500 block of Concord Lane reported that on April 22, someone stole approximately $800 in cash and one check.
  • A Barrington resident reported at 4:26 p.m. April 24, their wallet was stolen from a business in the 2900 block of West Lake Avenue.
  • A Glenview resident said that between 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. April 24, someone stole the front license plate from their vehicle while it was parked at a business in the 1100 block of Church Street.

CRIMINAL DEFACEMENT

A Glenview resident called police at 2:26 p.m. April 24, to report they found graffiti underneath the halfpipe of the skate park at Community Park West, 1000 block of Zenith Drive.

SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT

A Glenview resident reported at 9:53 p.m. April 24, they saw four unknown people tampering with vehicles in the parking lot of 2000 Lehigh Avenue. There was nothing reported missing.

BURGLARY

A business owner in the 1900 block of Lehigh Avenue called police to report that between April 23 and April 25, someone stole two Red Max backpack blowers, an Echo chainsaw and four Echo trimmers from two trailers parked at the business.

IDENTITY THEFT

  • A Glenview resident reported at 9:57 a.m. April 4, someone used their identifying information to open an American Express business account.
  • A Glenview resident called police to report that on April 21, someone transferred money out of their brokerage account.

NO VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE

A Des Plaines resident was cited at 11:36 a.m. April 25, for no valid driver's license, electronic communication device, following a traffic stop in the 200 block of Golf Road, Niles. They were released on an I-Bond with a court date of May 10 set.

RETAIL THEFT

An employee of a business in the 2200 block of Willow Road reported at 1:46 p.m. April 25, two men and one woman filled a shopping cart with computer routers and robot vacuum cleaners, then exited the store without paying for the merchandise.

DRIVING ON A REVOKED/SUSPENDED LICENSE

  • A Glenview resident was cited at 5:26 p.m. April 25, for revoked driver's license, following a traffic stop in the 3500 block of Milwaukee Avenue. They were released on a $2,500 I-Bond with a court date of May 10.
  • A Deerfield resident was cited at 10:22 p.m. April 25, for suspended driver's license, improper lighting for one headlight, following a traffic stop in the 2600 block of Willow Road. They were released on an I-Bond with a court date of June 8 set.

STOLEN VEHICLE

A Glenview resident reported that during the overnight hours of April 26, someone stole their vehicle while it was parked in the 2800 block of Wildflower Court.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO STATE SUPPORTED PROPERTY

A Glenview Public Works employee reported that during the overnight hours of April 26, someone broke the headset on the payphone at the Glenview train station, 2300 block of Lehigh Avenue.

BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE

A Glenview resident reported that during the overnight hours of April 26, someone entered their unlocked vehicle and rummaged through the glove box and center console while it was parked in the 4000 block of Crestwood Drive.
