North Chicago Man Faces Child Pornography Charges
Lake County Sheriff's Office claims 47-year-old man had electronic devices with videos showing children younger than 13.

A North Chicago man faces child pornography charges after the Lake County Sheriff's Office claims a search of his home uncovered videos involving children younger than 13 years old.
Preston D. Brown, 47, of the 2300 block of 23rd Street, was arrested and charged Monday on eight counts of possession of child pornography, according to a sheriff's press release. Each count is a Class 2 felony and carries a sentence of three to seven years in prison.
Brown was part of child pornography investigation conducted by the sheriff's cybercrimes unit and the Lake County State's Attorney's Cybercrimes Unit. Authorities executed a search warrant on Brown's home Monday and seized "multiple electronic devices capable of storing digital media," according to the release.

The sheriff's office claims law enforcement recovered "numerous videos identified as child pornography" that showed children younger than 13 from the devices, the release stated.
Brown is still being held in Lake County Jail on $100,000.00 bail, and his next court date is April 28.
