Semi Strikes Toll Booth Divider in Glenview; 2 Hospitalized

The Glenview Fire Department assisted the two occupants of the truck - one who needed to be extricated - in Tuesday's accident.

GLENVIEW, IL — A semi-tractor trailer, heading southbound on the Tri-State Tollway (I-294), struck the dividing abutment (divider) between two toll lanes around 8 a.m. Tuesday at the Golf Road toll booth. Both occupants of the truck, one needing extrication, were transported to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, according to the Glenview Fire Department. The man and woman both required treatment.

The accident is currently being investigated. The cause and estimated loss is unknown at this time.

Glenview was assisted by the North Main Fire Department ambulance, Illinois State Police and the Illinois Tollway Authority Minute Men. Crews left the scene at 10:52 a.m.
