Sex Offender Nabbed For Being In School Zone: Glenview P.D.
Police said the 42-year-old was seen dropping and picking up a child on consecutive days earlier this week.
GLENVIEW, IL — A Glenview registered sex offender was in a school zone on consecutive days earlier this week. Weston Opas, 42, of the 10300 block of Michael Todd Terrace, is accused of two counts of child sex offender in a school zone, and was arrested Friday. He is being held for a bond hearing.
Police were notified Opas was seen dropping off and picking a minor child at school on Tuesday and Wednesday in the 2000 block of Harrison Street. Police said at no time did Opas have contact with other children at the school.
