Splendors of Byzantine Art
History of artwork produced during a thousand years of Byzantine history.
Over the fall and winter of 2014-15, a collection of Byzantine icons, jewelry, and sculpture will travel from Greece to Chicago for a special exhibition. The exhibit features many objects that have never traveled outside Greece. Art historian, Dr. Michelle Paluch-Mishur, presents a slide lecture about artwork produced during a thousand years of Byzantine history.
