Spoofed Funeral Home Number Used In Glenview Scam: Police
Glenview police also reported more than $113,000 in fraud, an aggravated DUI arrest, graffiti damage and several traffic arrests.
GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department (unless otherwise noted) and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

- A resident of the 1600 block of Pickwick Lane reported at 11 p.m. June 9, that after leaving their credit card at a business, they discovered an unauthorized in-person charge of $55,894.63 at a store in Oak Brook. The resident disputed the charge with the bank.
- A Chicago resident reported at 2:55 p.m. June 12, that on June 8, an unknown suspect transferred $57,332.71 out of their savings account into an unknown account. Their bank was able to reimburse the money. Complaints were to be signed.
Criminal Defacement
- Unknown suspects accessed the roof of a construction scaffolding area in the 1900 block of Tower Drive overnight before 6:30 a.m. June 12, spray-painted graffiti on a new roof membrane, left beer cans and vomit on the roof, and caused damage of an unknown value.

- Employees of a business in the 2400 block of Sanders Road reported at 1:24 p.m. June 12, that an unknown male suspect in his 30s stole items from the business. Police said the suspect was told to pay for the items, made a remark about racism and did not pay. The total loss was about $4. No complaints were to be signed.
Disorderly Conduct
- An employee of a business in the 2200 block of Golf Road reported at 8:51 p.m. June 12, that multiple unknown suspects were in the rear of the building and pointed a green laser at the employee’s face, which alarmed and disturbed them. The suspects were gone before officers arrived. No complaints were filed.
Theft
- A resident of the 900 block of Laramie Avenue reported at 2 p.m. June 13, that they believed they had scheduled an appointment with DirecTV when an unknown male suspect came to the residence. The suspect flipped through channels and asked for $40 in cash. The resident gave him the money but said they were going to call police. The suspect left, then returned a few minutes later and gave the money back. The residence was checked, and no signs of other criminal activity were found. Complaints were to be signed.
- A resident reported at 1:44 p.m. June 14, that an unknown male posing as a funeral home employee used a spoofed funeral home phone number to obtain their credit card information and conduct a $1 test transaction. A later attempt to scam the resident was unsuccessful.
Trespass Warning
- Employees of a business in the 1000 block of Waukegan Road reported at 3:33 p.m. June 13, that another employee had been fired and would not leave. The terminated employee left before officers arrived. Officers spoke with the person by phone and issued a trespass warning not to return.
Theft From Motor Vehicle
- Officers responded at about 8:40 p.m. June 14, to the 1600 block of Patriot Boulevard and investigated the theft of a front license plate from a resident’s vehicle.

Aggravated DUI
- Daniel Shatkovskiy, 28, of the 700 block of Pearson Street, Des Plaines, was arrested at 11:37 p.m. June 14, in the 2300 block of Sanders Road and charged with aggravated driving under the influence, driving under the influence of alcohol, no valid driver’s license, no insurance, and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident following a traffic crash investigation. Shatkovskiy was processed and released under Cook County Non-Discretionary Pretrial Release Conditions and assigned a June 17 court date at the Skokie Courthouse.
Reckless Driving
- Khanbolor Erdenebat, 16, of the 1600 block of Western Avenue, Northbrook, was arrested at 10:32 p.m. June 14, in the 2700 block of Sable Drive and charged with reckless driving following a traffic stop. Erdenebat was cited and released under Cook County Non-Discretionary Pretrial Release Conditions and assigned a June 29 court date at the Skokie Courthouse.
Speeding
- Roney Yousif, 44, of the 3600 block of Countryside Lane, Glenview, was arrested at 9:09 a.m. June 14, in the 1200 block of Greenwood Road and charged with speeding 26 to 34 mph over the limit following a traffic stop. Yousif was cited and released under Cook County Non-Discretionary Pretrial Release Conditions and assigned a July 28 court date at the Skokie Courthouse.
- Louis Devivo, 58, of the 3700 block of Countryside Drive, Glenview, was arrested at 4:08 p.m. June 16, in the 1300 block of Greenwood Road and charged with speeding 26 to 34 mph over the limit following a motor vehicle accident. Devivo was cited and released under Cook County Non-Discretionary Pretrial Release Conditions and assigned a July 31 court date at the Skokie Courthouse.
- Jewneus Wilson, 27, of the 12900 block of South Union Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 2:38 a.m. June 10, in the 4000 block of Willow Road and charged with speeding 35 mph over the limit following a traffic stop. Wilson was cited and released under Cook County Non-Discretionary Pretrial Release Conditions and assigned a June 26 court date at the Skokie Courthouse.
No Valid Driver’s License
- Riza Camacho, 38, of the 8800 block of Carleah Street, Des Plaines, was arrested at 6:53 a.m. June 16, in the 1200 block of Greenwood Road and charged with no valid driver’s license following a traffic stop. Camacho was cited and released under Cook County Non-Discretionary Pretrial Release Conditions and assigned a July 31 court date at the Skokie Courthouse.
- Jennifer Frierson, 41, of the 2300 block of East 70th Street, Chicago, was arrested at 6:53 a.m. June 16, in the 3500 block of Milwaukee Avenue and charged with no valid driver’s license following a motor vehicle accident. Frierson was cited and released under Cook County Non-Discretionary Pretrial Release Conditions and assigned a July 31 court date at the Skokie Courthouse.
Suspended Driver’s License
- Bruno Pliego, 19, of the 300 block of 3rd Street, Glenview, was arrested at 8:22 p.m. June 9, in the 1700 block of Waukegan Road and charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license and failure to display a registration plate following a traffic stop. Pliego was cited and released under Cook County Non-Discretionary Pretrial Release Conditions and assigned a July 27 court date at the Skokie Courthouse.
Warrant
- Humberto Aguilar-Gonzalez, 43, of the 100 block of Catalpa Street, Wood Dale, was arrested at 12:52 p.m. June 11, in the 1100 block of Depot Street and charged with an active warrant out of Cook County following a 911 verification call. Aguilar-Gonzalez was processed and held in custody pending a conditions hearing on June 12.
